Web hosting is a great business to be in, and those who started with this business model are already cashing in. web hosting

Truth is, everyone is involved in web hosting; whether you’re a reseller, an end user or a service firm, we all need to make impact and enhance our web presence.

But, what makes an efficient web hosting service?

There isn’t any straight answer to this question, but we can consider three factors you should watch when deciding on a web hosting service.

We often tend to trust “expensive” hosting services as if they’ve no weakness. I currently have 7 domain names hosted across 3 different hosting companies.

I’ve been awesomely satisfied with 2 of these companies why the other is a total fluff and if I’ve my way, I’ll opt out.

But it’s easier said than done – now, here are the factors to consider as you decide to house your websites and blogs.

1. Customer Experience Via Reviews

When someone is looking to buy a product or service online, reviews are the best bet. Before you decide on any hosting company, it’s good to read reviews to determine the pros and cons of using such service.

I’m not talking about hyped-up reviews. There are good reviews written by intelligent people. Yes, they want to make money when you buy, and you wouldn’t want to deny a great content the reward it deserves.

Just read as many reviews as possible. When it sounds too good to be true, switch over to another review blog and feed your mind. It’s better to get acquainted with what lies ahead than to regret in future. Even when  searching for discount codes like the yahoo small business coupons and midphase discount code, read what others are saying before taking a stand.

I’ve gained much insight from reviews alone. In fact, when you eventually stumble on the right web hosting review, it would show the step by step method of using a particular member area or dashboard. Find out if others were satisfied with a particular service before you opt-in. It’s a wise decision, my good friend.

2. Personalized Customer Support

A good customer service system is good but that’s not what I’m talking about. Often times, web hosting comes with technical and technological issues. If you’re not programming-inclined, you could give up and that’s not so cool for your online business.

An efficient web hosting company needs to personalize their customer support. For instance, when you’ve an issue with your domain name server (DNS), if “Louis” helped you out last time, “Benjamin” shouldn’t volunteer to help now unless the first technical guy is absent.

Why is this important? It’s because, during your last emails and calls with the first person, a system have been set up and you already have a good rapport with him. If another person comes on board, it’s like you’re starting from scratch.

Where can you get this kind of customer support? Some of the credible hosting companies have it. I could recall the last time I sent an email for transfer issues, my favorite technical guy was eager to help. I love such services, do you?

3. Well Secured Servers

Another vital factor to consider is security.

Every day, hundreds of website and blogs are being hacked by unscrupulous persons who work tirelessly day and night. Your web hosting company has a huge role to play in securing your virtual estate.

That’s why reading intelligent and honest service reviews is paramount before investing your hard earned cash.

Also, check if they’ve SSL encryption and secured server platform so you can go home with peace of mind. I don’t want to mention names, but be very careful with some popular web hosting brands you already know. As much as possible, get a hosting from a practicing blogger or wordpress user who understands security and how to engage customers.

Take This Home

One more thing, would you like to earn passive income with your blog? It’s time to join your favorite web hosting affiliate program. You’ll earn recurring commissions on monthly basis when your referred customers renew their services – off course they sure will.

Isn’t this a great year to begin your web hosting journey? I’ve started mine and hope you benefit from it. Take caution when choosing one, make extra income monthly and don’t forget to consider up-time. See you at the top!
